illumination design
placing lamps
The user chooses a model of lamp from an inter-built AutoCAD block library and inserts it into a layout. By using the standard AutoCAD edition commands COPY, MOVE, ARRAY, etceteras the user makes the distribution of the lamps. It is allowed any orientation and position for each lamp and the quantity of lamps is not limited. | plant view |

where is the light?
When the distribution of
the lamps is completed, the user define the zone to be mapped by entering
3 corners of it.
The application draws automatically one map made of colored points. Each color represents an value of illumination and the numerical value is also avaible by listing the entity. The quantity of points can be controlled by the user. The illumination is expresed in luxes (lux=lumen/m2) |

adding lamps
The user can disable/enable lamps. In the above pictures, only one lamp is enable. In this pictures all the lamps were considered. | plant view |

mapping in 3D
The application can make mapps in any 3D orientation. In these pictures, one semi-vertical plane was requiered by the user. Notice that by giving only 3 corners (1,2 and 3 in the fig.) the user gets the map. | perspective view (close-upp) |
The
application calculates lamp-point distance, incidence angle with the surface,
and orientation of the light beam with the lamp. Whit this information
and photometric charts of the lamp, the illumination is calculated at one
point. The proces is repetead with the same point for each lamp. In the
same way is calculated the illumination for all the points across the zone
to be mapped.
