Beginning January 1, 2007, this website would no longer be updated and visitors are invited to visit the main website of the Malaysian Association of Speech Language and Hearing (MASH) at www.mash.org.my

Updated membership forms

The membership forms have been updated for the 2006-2007 session. If you are interested to be members of mash you can go to the "Application" section or click on the following links.

You can now bank in your membership fees via maybank.

Payments should be made to “Persatuan Pertuturan-Bahasa dan Pendengaran” or “Malaysian Association of Speech-Language and Hearing”.

When you deposit to our bank account, please ensure that you retain the deposit slip and email the scanned image to mash1995@yahoo.com as proof of payment.

Note: Please remember to write your name on The Transaction Reference section. For outstation cheque, please include RM0.50 for bank charges.

Abstract Submissions

A new link the on menu has been added to allow visitors to view the abstracts of the research done by MASH members.

Membership Application Categories and Forms

Following are the 3 categories of membership in the association:

Ordinary Membership is granted to Malaysian Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist with qualifications certified by the professional association.

Application form

Associate Membership is granted to Speech-Language Pathologist and Audiologist from other countries with qualifications certified by the professional association.

Student Membership is granted to students pursuing studies in an accredited course in speech-language pathology and audiology locally or overseas.

Objectives of MASH

To act as a professional body governing the speech-language pathology and audiology profession in Malaysia. To work towards the issue of a 'certificate to practise' as a legal requirement to practise in Malaysia.

To promote appropriate academic and clinical preparation of individuals entering the discipline of human communication and hearing science and disorders, and to promote the advancement in the knowledge and skills of those within the discipline.

To establish the law and practice relating to all matters connected with these professions and with the exercise of supervision over its members when engaged in professional duties as defined by the Code of Ethics.

To foster the development of clinical services and procedures for communication and hearing disorders.

To uphold the rights and interest of the people with communication and hearing disorders.

To promote the publication of information concerning speech, language and hearing to the public and relevant professionals.

To promote research into human communication and hearing.
