the story, as best i remember it
part 1
ok, here goes. (i hope i don't offend anybody)
in the beginning, two local camilla guys (one that went to westwood, one that went to mitchell baker) decided that since they both played key instruments in the fundamental makeup of a band, they would start to play together and try to make music.  so, it began, and it was called "lowd." the two guys i'm talking about here are harold jackson and jeremy lowery.  harold had gotten a fender squire for christmas and had a keyboard amp he played through. at the time, it was the most awesome thing any one of us had ever seen.  it was respected, and envied by all that knew of it.  jeremy played a set of tama rockstar drums inherited from his uncle. they were equally as recognized.  anyway, they started making songs and stuff. one particular one that i remember, "fuzzy green aliens."  i heard the tape a few days ago. it was just "e," "f minor," and "g," but it was about the most amazing thing anybody had ever heard, mainly because it was our friends who were doing this. well, one day, this kid named michael lamb decided to play the guitar.  he escalated quickly in the ranks of known musicians in camilla, and soon started to play with harold and jeremy. he had an ibanez guitar that coupled with a rogue amp to make the most annoying guitar sound ever known to man, but loved by michael. most everyone i've ever talked to wanted to shoot it at the time, and rejoiced when the power amp blew and michael had to get another amp. (note: when the amp finally died, it was entrusted to eric chapman. no less than 24 hours after the transition, it was hurled off the second story of the fellowship hall of the first baptist church.)the duo had become a triplet.  well, at an unknow date to me, this old guy named blake tabb (see "cool athens people") began to make his impact on the camilla kids.  he had an epiphone les paul that was sparkly blue, and a marshall amp, i think. (i'm not too sure about all these things, because, in the beginning, i wasn't part of the makeup) nobody had ever heard of this amazing guitar, but now, everybody wanted one. blake brought along some of his friends (see also "cool athens people") that brought with them junk that none of us had ever seen before. it was all cool and mystical to us. ok. one day, jason, jeremy's little brother, decided to join the everpopular standing as "one of those guys that makes music."  his parents got him a purple ibanez bass, which, when coupled with his dad's keyboard amp, made up the low end of a lot of the early recordings.  ok, so now, everybody is getting along great, it seems the lineup is complete (with the absence of a full time singer) to make a lot of cool music, which is what proceeded to happen. coolness in the form of music occured in mass amounts. no problems, yet.....

note: the original 2 members of lowd were first introduced by michael lamb. so partial credit of the creation goes out to him.
