There are two batteries in place of the radiator. The box sits directly
on the frame and has a steel strap a couple of inches below the top to hold
the batteries in place. It is
a very, very tight fit requiring quite a while to fit the panels in place and
bolt them together. The base of the box has a 1 inch cutout for the front
motor shaft. The effort to get the extra space was worthwhile since it is
fully insulated. An electric
battery heating pad was installed next to the batteries, repaired after being
partly crushed when installing the number 2 battery.
The contactors are enclosed in the small boxes bolted to the
rear of the front batt box. The large aluminum heat sink object is the Todd
PC40LV DC/DC converter. The E-meter
is powered by a Vicor 12volt DC/DC converter from the aux battery.
