Integral Tables
A Brief Table of Integrals appears at the back of the textbook,
after the index.
See Examples 1 - 2, pages 571 - 572.
Integration with a CAS
Examples of CAS software are Maple and Mathematica.
See Examples 3 - 5, pages 572 - 574.
Monte Carlo Integration
For an integral that can not be evaluated using our techniques -
like
- approximation techniques like the Trapezoidal Rule or Simpson's Rule
may be used.
Monte Carlo integration is another numerical method of approximating
definite integrals, often accomplished with the help of a computer.
The method generalizes to multiple integrals.
See Example 6, page 574 - 576.
