Long Term Rumours |
Wilcon's Home Ground Should it be The original Cut or the new BP. Future of Wilcon Where are the future stars of tommorrow. The Wilcon of tommorrow must come from 4 main young footballers, including C.Robson, M.Pollard, S.Fothergill and D.Richardson. |
1995 - New name for the Football Club. The new estate is build. J.Mattimoe, M.Mattimoe, D.Pollard, D.Fletcher and S.Pickford unite to form what is now commonly known as Wilcon Wanderers Football Club. 1996 - The Cut to be the New Ground. However this new club needs a ground and the nearest pitch is a place commonly referred to as The Cut. 1997 - McClean Spit Up. After Wilcon Wanderers Football Club's most successfull season the elder footballers of McClean retire to leave the bitter rival team destined for ruin. Shame really we really needed someone to beat regulary. 1998 - (Controversial) Priors Gate Quitters? Newly formed club managed by S.Burns becomes beaten by Wilcon Wanderers 9 - 0 by half time and they quit following the humiliation. However one gatey claims we forfeited the match (yeah right). 1999 - Home Ground Relocation. A new football pitch is found becoming more popular with players however travelling there is more of a problem. 2000 - BP the New Home of Wilcon. After a season at the new pitch BP is considered Wilcon's home however The Cut should remain intact as the grounds name. 2001 - (Controversial) W.Pollard Traitor? Early in the year of 2001 the newly promoted manager of Priors Gate arrives at the Wilcon manager's door of J.Mattimoe with W.Pollard to our surprise. In K.Harris's hand was a piece of paper they claim was a contract signed on the dotted line by W.Pollard himself declaring a free transfer. However over Wilcon history and tradition the deal never went through gladly as all Wilconer's would of been extemely gutted to lose such a usually loyal captain. |
