We enjoyed a
lovely week in Wales. The background of this page is along one
of the roads. In Cafarnon, we toured a quintessential that was
built by the English to keep the unruly Welsh in line. It turned
out that the Welsh were co-opted or subdued sufficiently well that the
castle was never used.
This is where the Prince of Wales, Charles, took
his 'oath of office' at his coming of age festival. England created a Prince of Wales so the
Welsh would feel like they played some part in the government.
We loved to go on hikes in the mountains. The
lupines were magnificent and so were the sheep.
