Val Thorens Silvester 2001/02

The week around New Years Eve I spent with seven friends in Les Menuires, which is in the same valley as Val Thorens. It is part of the ski resort called Trois Valley. The other two valley are Meribel and Courchevel. We had an apartment just beside the runs in Les Bruyers which is part of Les Menuires.

The whole week through we had gorgeous sunshine. The prettiest view we could enjoy when there was a line of clouds as can be seen in the picture.

The ski resort of  Trois Valley is really huge. It si impossible to do all the runs in a week. It is even a challenge to get from Val Thorens to Courchevel and back in one day. Because of the numerous runs it is also possible to get away from the masses of skiers and snowboarders.
