BADM 8310 -- Legal and Ethical Environment of Business Decisions
  Grade: A
  Legal and ethical study of business, its origin, its developing impact on society; examines the judicial system, the cost of litigation vs. alternative dispute resolution techniques, as well as a practical examination of current issues at the federal and state level in such areas as contracts, tort, product liability, deceptive trade, property, business enterprises, electronic commerce, employment, and international law.
   
BADM 8311 -- Management Theory and Practice
  Grade: B
  Examines the complex role of the manager in strategic planning, leadership, communication, motivation, decision-making, and control. Experimental format with managerial assessments, cases, and team activities focusing domestic and international issues.
   
BADM 8312 -- Managerial Decision Process
  Grade: A
  Experimental introduction to models and techniques that lead to a more effective and efficient decision process for individuals and management teams. Emphasizes the identification and avoidance of known cultural and cognitive biases and process pitfalls that result in less effective and efficient decisions. Provides opportunity to practice effective and efficient decision process through team decision-making activities.
   
BADM 8313 -- Managerial Control Systems
  Grade: A
  Examines the control problems of complex organizations, including, goal formulation, strategic planning, design and control, of profit or responsibility centers, development of budgets, and use of audits. Measurement and analysis of performance is emphasized as a prerequisite for control.
   
BADM 8315 -- Financial Strategies and Policies
  Grade: A
  Emphasizes the development of skills required for integrating financial planning and control systems. Includes financial analysis, cash and capital budgeting, risk and return analysis, and long-range financial planning in a managerial team environment. The financial implications associated both traditional and electronic commerce business models will be discussed.
   
BADM 8316 -- Marketing Strategies and Policies
  Grade: A
  Strategic planning for effective domestic and international market problems and effective direction and control of marketing operations. Introduces theories and models for interpretation and prediction of buyers’ motives, attitudes, and responses and integrates information into marketing strategies of the firm. Special marketing implications of business-to-business and business-to-consumer electronic commerce are discussed.
   
BADM 8319 -- Operations Management Strategies and Policies
  Grade: A
  Provides a broad overview, understanding, and managerial perspective of the issues and problems involved in managing the operations function in service and manufacturing firms as well as not-for-profit organizations. Important topics to be examined include strategy, quality, management , forecasting, capacity decisions, operations planning and design, materials management, and scheduling of resources. Incorporates a case approach to formulate and solve business problems.
   
BADM 8330 -- Strategic Management Concepts and Processes
  Grade: A
  An integrative capstone course to be taken in the final trimester. Examines the role of top management in creating a vision for the enterprise and integrating resources to achieve a competitive advantage in carrying out its mission. Focuses on total enterprise issues, including the harmonizing of enterprise objectives with societal values and a global economy.
   
Electronic Commerce Foundation Courses (9 semester hours)
ECMG 6301 -- Systems Development
  Grade: B
  An overview of methodologies, techniques, and tools used to analyze and design databases and information systems to meet organizational needs. This course will expose students to all phases of the systems development life cycle, with an emphasis on the analysis and logical design phases and including database management systems. Students will use current development tools to perform the analysis and design of a small information system.
   
ECMG 6302 -- Networking Fundamentals
  Grade: A
  An in-depth exploration of telecommunications fundamentals, including data and voice transmission and local/wide area network systems. Architectures, topologies, communications standards, and protocols will be analyzed. Students will perform installation, configuration, and management of network technologies.
   
ECMG 6303 -- Foundations in Electronic Commerce and the Internet
  Grade: A
  An overview of electronic commerce and Internet concepts and technologies. This course includes discussion of the impact of electronic commerce on business, and the special implications of systems development and support in an online environment. Students will explore the use of current electronic commerce tools and technologies.
   
Electronic Commerce Management Courses (12 semester hours)
ECMG 7330 -- Electronic Commerce Management Strategies and Organizational Issues
  Grade: A
  Overview of principles for analyzing managerial and organizational information needs in an electronic commerce environment. Strategies for business-to-business and business-to-customer electronic commerce are discussed. Leading-edge electronic commerce technologies and applications are introduced.
   
ECMG 7331 -- Telecommunications and Network Management
  Grade: B
  In-depth study of the configuration, installation, and management of telecommunications and network technologies. This course includes a survey of network operating systems and functions. Students will apply concepts and tools to design and implement telecommunications and computer networks. The course also includes discussion and analysis of network and telecommunications trends and directions, management issues, and public policy and ethical issues.
   
ECMG 7335 -- Electronic Commerce Security and Risk
  Grade: A
  Detailed study of security issues related to electronic commerce. Emphasis will be placed on technologies, managerial strategies, and organizational responsibilities for reducing system breaches and failures. Subjects will include encryption standards, identity certification, firewalls, system monitoring, value of information, and personnel duties, as well as ethical issues associated with electronic commerce.
   
Elective Courses (3 semester hours)
ECMG 7336 -- Web Applications Development
  Grade: A
  Study and practice of tools and techniques for development of interactive online systems, including analysis, design, and implementation of business applications for the Internet and/or intranets. Discussion of management and maintenance issues associated with online interactive applications.
