The number of symptoms associated with CFIDS can be astounding. Taken by themselves, they often will not mean anything. The symptoms I am including is by no means *all* of the possible symptoms. I will catagorize these into sections based on area involved.
Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue and Immune Dysfunction Syndrome
Cognition

Confusion, inability to think clearly

Aphasia

Urogenital

Frequent thirst

Dry eyes or mouth

Symptoms worsened by air travel

To be diagnosed, four or more of the following symptoms must be present as well as lasting more than six months:

impaired memory or concentration;
sore throat; 
tender or swollen lymph nodes in the armpit ot neck;
muscle pain;
joint pain without swelling or redness;
unreshing sleep;
post exertional malaise lasting more than 24 hours;
headaches of a new type (new in severity, type or pattern).

Before a diagnosis can be made, physicians must exclude other disorders known to cause fatigue,  depression, medications that cause fatigue as a side effect and alcohol and/or drug abuse.
