Aspergers
Hello, and thanks for dropping by. Basically my whole life I knew I was different and have always felt different. I basically felt like a freak, and was treated that way. I had odd obsessions, routines, and a tough time dealing with change. I also did not know how to behave properly in social situations until I had hit my mid-teens which was a miracle. I was officially diagnosed with having Asperger's Syndrome back in 1994, actually when it was universally recognized! In fact I am a lot more social than my husband and he 100% does NOT have Aspergers. However most of those with Aspergers have a hard time with socializing and cannot cope very well in social situations. It is difficult for those with Aspergers to make eye contact, make small talk, understanding expressions (ie she hit the fan), sarcasm, and body language. Many also blurt out inappropriate things such as "that guy is dirty" or what have you.
Fortunately I CAN cope in social situations very well, but it took me a while to learn. I also am married, with children and own a home and a car. Therefore, there most definitely IS hope for the individual with Aspergers. However it won't exactly come very easily AND it does take hard work and perseverance. I have included many Aspergers links. To be honest, I don't feel that my Aspergers is as big of an issue as the BPD is for me nowadays. Anyway I would like you to go through them and become educated.
