My Profile
My family
I am the youngest in a brood of three boys. My parents are Engr. Uly Nazario of Bulacan and Chi Nazario of Laguna. My brothers are Ted and Bill. I was born and raised in Quezon City. My birthday is January 20, 1994. We are members of the Christ’s Commission Fellowship (CCF).
My school
I am in Grade 6 at the Cornerstone Academy in Quezon City.
My chess background
I learned to play chess when I was eight years old by tinkering with my mom’s handheld computer, between August and September 2002.
My first chess lessons were with the Milo Chess Clinic. Later on, I got training from GMs Eugene Torre and Bong Villamayor, IM Jayson Gonzales, and NMs Erwin Carag, Robert Suelo, Robert Arellano, and Roland Andador. I consider Manny Benitez, respected chess scholar and writer, my ultimate chess friend and mentor.
Since then, I have played in many places in many towns and cities in Luzon and the Visayas, namely, La Union, Cavite, Bulacan, Laguna, Pampanga, Lucena City, Bacolod City, Quezon City, Mandaluyong City, Makati City, and Bacolod City. Abroad, I have been to Brunei, Viet Nam and the United States for chess.
My distinctions
- named FIDE Candidate Master by the World Chess Federation, one of so far, only seven in the world, April 2005
- Recipient, Sports Excellence Award, sponsored by Cartoon Network and the Dept. of Education, Culture and Sports in recognition of his “exceptional ability and good sportsmanship, 2005-2006 (with an on-air spot showing him playing chess with Dexter of Dexter’s Laboratory)

My hobbies
Aside from chess, I enjoy doing home video presentations. I also play the keyboard, do finger math and took basic voice lessons. I also play badminton and basketball with my brothers and cousins. I have also started to collect chess sets and coins, especially from places I have been too.
Sometimes, my mom and I write chess poems and stories together.

My ambition
I want to be a World Champion in chess!!! I hope to take up medicine at Harvard. In the future, I want to be a doctor, a pilot and a writer.
