Here are the results of
the waiver drafts over the past two seasons. The draft is for players cut from EHL
rosters (max 33) prior to the start of the season. Teams claiming
players through the waiver draft must cut one player from their
roster. That player must not be scheduled to play in the current
season.
Waiver Draft 2002 - Results
As unusually active waiver draft
this year, with just 4 teams electing not to make picks in the first
round. 6 of the first 10 players picked were defensemen, with Malakhov
and Rivet attracting greatest interest, whilst Fisher was also a popular
choice but immediately snapped up by the Blues after Ipswich passed.

Waiver
Draft 2000
It seems as though most
people were after a goalie – the Huskies and Nighthawks winning the
race to sign the popular duo of Fernandez and Hnilicka. There was about
the same number of teams picking and passing as usual, with 3 clubs
signing 2 players each with the cut players by and large being somewhat
long in the tooth!
