No limit on the number of terms. VIII. ABOVE ALL - WE GAME TO HAVE FUN! ELECTIONS RULES Both the HLP and LP positions shall be elected by the general membership, via email vote. The election may be called by either the HLP or LP. An election can also be called by an email recall with al least 60% of the membership roster requesting such. 1. Upon calling for an election - notice of the positions) to be elected will be emailed and posted on the web site. 2. A n election notice must be given a least 2 weeks in advance, with a maximum of 4 weeks before the election is to take place. During this time, those individuals wishing to "run" for the positions must register with the Secretary of Elections and may campaign with the membership to garner votes. 3. At the election date - the Secretary of Elections will email and post all candidates for all the positions) to the membership. 4. The membership has 1 week to return their vote via email. 5. The Secretary of Elections shall tally the votes and post the results on the site and/or email. The results of the election take place as of that time. JUDICIAL PROCESS In the event a member commits a "trespass" of a serious nature, a complaint may be filed with the Minister of Courts. 1. The Minister of Courts shall collect all evidence possible - including statements of witnesses. The Minister shall insure that all parties involved have their say and are fairly represented. The preferred method is a Real time chat, although email communication is the alternate method. 2. The Minister of Courts will call for the formation of a Judicial Board that comprises of the HLP, LP, and at least 3 members, but no more than 5 members of the Order. 3. The Judicial Board members must not be involved in the "trespass" either as witnesses or victims. If either the HLP or LP are involved, they may appoint someone in their place. 4. The Board will always have an ODD number so that a tie cannot result. 5. The Judicial Board will decide on both the "guilt or innocence" and the Punishment if need be. Their decision is final and requires a simple majority. 6. The Board is responsible to insure that both sides of the story are heard and a fair and appropriate conclusion is determined. AMENDMENTS TO BYLAWS Recognizing that with Time, all things change, this is the Process by which the Bylaws can change too. 1. A proposed change may be made by any member. It is recommended that open discussion of the change take place before it is submitted to the Minister of Elections. 2. The Minister of Elections shall email the proposed amendment to all members and invite feedback on such. 3. After a reasonable period of time not to exceed 4 weeks, the Minister of Elections shall hold an email election to have or not to have the amendment adopted. 4. Adoption of the amendment requires 51% of the membership roster approval. |
