Founded in 1996,
Norton University has become Phnom Penh's first and largest private
university. It is now the center of higher education in Cambodia. The
university has an established reputation for excellence in education geared
to meet the needs of the 21st century. It combines traditional academic
values with innovative teaching and the accessibility to advanced
technology.The university emphasizes on the development of the analytical

University Objectives 1. To equip students with the necessary skills for a creative, competent, and attainment of professional employment . 2. To promote socially responsible citizens who value heritage, culture and identity. 3. To be a responsible institution involved in the growth and development of the country and the empowerment of its people. 4. To offer a world class international standardized institution formal education and to be recognized as one of the best higher institution of learning in the country. Formal Education Curriculum Norton University New Curriculum begins with Academic year 2000-2001 which has been upgraded to a World Class International Standard, which is based from other prestigious universities in many parts of the world. Fundamental subjects for Bachelors Degree Which are compulsory to be taken during 1st year and 2nd Year, are standardized that meets the requirements of foreign Universities in Asia Pacific, Europe and the United States. First and second year students are expected to take compulsory standardized fundamental subjects which meet the requirements of the international educational guidelines. Foundation subjects are enhanced by courses in Arts, Humanities, Political Science and Social Sciences in order for the students to gain knowledge and skills in critical thinking, problem identification and solving, analysis and decision making within the context of the ethical aspects of their chosen career or profession.
