MECCANO EXHIBITION
24TH / 25TH OCTOBER 2009
REDHILL SCHOOL
The Annual Meccano and Hornby Train exhibition will take place at Redhill School, Summit Road, off Rivonia Road,
Morningside.
Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th of October 2009 from 10 am to 5 pm.
The exhibition is a joint effort by the Transvaal Meccano Guild and the Hornby Railway Collectors Association of South Africa.
This is an exhibition for the entire family and a nostalgic trip for all those dads who grew up with Meccano and Hornby Trains as youngsters. It is also ideal for children of all ages as it provides an introduction into aspects of mechanical engineering.
Over 100 outstanding working Meccano models will be exhibited.
You will see models of every conceivable vehicle, Railway locomotives, Cranes,
Lorries, Steam Traction engines, Designing Machines, Fairground models etc,.
Two working Hornby Train layouts will be exhibited.
These will be the well known Hornby ‘O’ Gauge and Hornby Dublo.
Full Refreshment facilities are available.
Entrance fee R15.00 adults. R5.00 Children.
