| Language | Greek is the official language and it has its own alphabet. Almost all people speak Greek. In Universities, newspapers, magazines and so on, the Greek language is used. However nowadays English and French are widely spread also. There is a difference in the accent of the lower class and the upper class even though they speak the same language. |

| Religion | About 97% of the people in Greece belong to the Greek Orthodox Church. There are also a few people who are Roman Catholic, Muslims and Protestants. However, these are few. |

| Food | The Greek have several traditional dishes. They have kokoretsi which is sheep kidneys and livers wrapped in intestines. They also have kountosouvli which is big pieces of pork. Apart from traditional food there is also american food like burgers. |

| Education | School is compulsory in Greece. There are 10 universities. However, teachers are not paid much and are not properly trained, so many parents send their children to private schools. |

| Economy | The main income of the Greek people is from tourism. In fact, tourism is one of Greece's main industries and until recently the government gave money to help hotel building. Millions of people, spend their holidays on the Greek islands. |
