Here are some places to go to find information about media activism, media literacy, media democracy. We use these places for resources and inspiration.

1. http://www.youthactivism.com - "A democracy dropout reversal clearinghouse encouraging maximum youth participation"

2. http://www.indymedia.org - "Indymedia is a collective of independent media organizations and hundreds of journalists offering grassroots, non-corporate coverage. Indymedia is a democratic media outlet for the creation of radical, accurate, and passionate tellings of truth."

3. http://www.lipmagazine.org -" LiP is a not-for-profit print and electronic media project dedicated to the building of a sustainable society that values diversity. We question public and private policy that confuses consumption with freedom, perpetuates stratification based on gender, race, class, ethnicity and sexual practice, ignores the human costs of rote and mind-numbing work and pursues the destruction of the natural environment."

4. http://www.papertiger.org - "Paper Tiger Television (PTTV) is an open, non-profit, volunteer video collective. Through the production and distribution of our public access series, media literacy/video production workshops, community screenings and grassroots advocacy PTTV works to challenge and expose the corporate control of mainstream media."

9. http://www.openhumanminds.com - "Ohms Media is a New York City based, all volunteer collective who produce original and thought provoking media on social, political, and environmental issues. They are dedicated to using media
as a tool to evoke positive change in society, by offering an alternative to the franshised banter of mainstream media."
