23 June 2000 (Day 4)

Colin, Debbie, Shumin and I joined Charles, Diane and her grandson Bill in climbing Mt. Krizevac (the Cross Mountain). There weren't too many people up there that morning as it was still very early. It was a real opportunity for us to spend some quiet moments with God and Mary.

After breakfast, our group attended a talk by Father Slavko. He spoke about Mary's role as our Mother and Teacher. It was a very insightful talk, often injected by his funny and clever analogies.  

Monsignor Green is the main celebrant of today's English mass at 10am. Rebecca from our group read the 1st Reading, and Colin and Shumin recited the Prayers of the Faithful.  

After English mass, Sister Emmanuel bumped into our group and invited us to her talk at her Community of Beatitudes. The main topic of her talk was about Mary presenting Baby Jesus to each and every one of us.

After the evening Croatian mass, we set out for Mt. Podbrdo (Hill of the Apparitions), as Our Lady would be appearing to Ivan there that night. Thousands of people were on that rocky hill that night. We all started praying the Rosary at 9pm. At around 10.30pm, Our Lady came with three angels (as we were told later on), and she was extremely happy and joyful. Our Lady prayed over us for a long time and recommended our intentions and us to Her Son. She asked us to pray for the conversion of sinners.  She then blessed us all and left after praying Our Father and Glory Be.

We were able to make our way down the hill relatively quickly. The trail of different coloured torchlights on the hill looked most beautiful.
