In addition to her painting, she has numerous film
credits, including director of photography in short films titled
The Drip and The Worst That Can Happen. She also
co-directed two educational videos entitled This Poem Doesn’t
Rhyme and Poetry Slam.
Another creative outlet is photography. Melinda
was one of the six individuals who created the publication, here,
and acted as chief photographer for its first year. She has photos
published in journals and her last photography exhibit, A Day
on the Kingsclear Reserve, was presented at the ABEC in August
1998.
A wife to Jeff, a mother to Annie and awaiting a spring arrival,
Melinda teaches Visual Arts happily at St. Malachy’s Memorial
High School while working on a M.Ed in Instructional Design at the
University of New Brunswick.
She completed her BA at the UNB. After completing
second year of Film and Video Production at York University, she
returned to UNB to complete her BEd.
