These are the mixes I made. If you'd like a copy, email me and I'll burn you one. Obviously I'm not a pro, but I like doing this. And if you find me lacking and would like to 'enhance' my knowledge, or at least my collection, feel free to send me goodies too.
***mix #5***sentimental melody (working title)
In progress.
***mix #4***sleazeball : winter/spring 2003 : 64min27secThis one's a bit predictable and, I think, the one that feels the most dated. Still, I like it because you can dance to it, and it has its quiet moments too. Christina had me take out Cameo in her cd, then the next time we went out, the dj played it as a closing song. I guess they were meant to be.
1. Deceptacon- Le Tigre
***mix #3***bloodyvalentine : winter 2002-3 : 58min08secAn attempt to chart the rise and decline of a love affair, starting all sweet and romantic, falling apart somewhere in the middle, ending badly, yet on a positive, hopeful note, or wait, is it just April Fools'? The centerpiece is Makin' Whoppee which is a microcosm of love. "Weddings make a lot of people sad/ But if you're not the one they're not so bad," indeed.
1. Do You Want to Know a Secret- The Beatles ***mix #2***there's no #2
This one never worked out.
***mix #1***housewarming : July 2001 : 60min32secDzija helped me put up shelves when I first moved; I offered to burn him whatever he liked from my collection. He asked me to make a mix instead, of course that took longer, but then I had a good cd to play at my housewarming. Oh, and he didn't get the mix for a year, because the package was returned to me as undeliverable, and it was a long time after since I saw him in person to give the cd...
1. Everybody's Gonna Be Happy- The Kinks © 2003 Melis Alemdar. Comments? Email me. /End Mixes | |
