"Did you get her back?"

"Why couldn’t you just go back again?"

"So that’s why you need me, because you can’t go. Why me? Why not Rachel or Joe?"

"They are not connected. At least not to both of them?"

"Them? Who’s them? Listen Mister Stark; I’m not doing your business for you. You’ve hurt too many people."

"Yes, I know I’ve caused some problems. But everything I’ve done is to gain the knowledge for you to make the journey. You see, by doing this, I’ll be giving everyone I’ve hurt a second chance."

"I can’t do this to Jake. I love him."

"You don’t understand. You’re just going back to stop what’s happened, you can’t control the future. So, if you and Jake were meant to be, then it will happen. Will you do this for me?"

"What’s in it for you? How does saving Ryan help you?"

"I’ll be completely honest with you. As you know I have a disfiguring disease that I was born with. My parents hated me, so I was sent away, hidden from all. It wasn’t until later in my life that I discovered I had an older brother. I tracked him to this city only to find he had died. Ryan’s father, I believe."

"Carl is your brother?!?"

"Yes. So, you see that by saving Ryan, you’ve saved Carl’s sanity. So when I come to find my brother, he will be home."

"I could save Carl?"

"Yes, as well as a lot of your friends and family’s pain."

"I could go back and e raided by my mother instead of being sent away?"

"NO!! I’m sorry, but you cannot go back that far."

"Why not?"

"Because my dear, you would only be a newborn. I have already preselected the time to send you back."

"Where are you sending me?"

"I shall not tell you for I fear you will not go."

"What do you mean I won’t go? If you don’t tell me, I won’t go. I’m sending you back to the basement that Justine locked you in."

"Why Stark? You can’t. I just go over Marley…I can’t go through that again."

"Yes you can. You have to; it’s the only way. Look, I’m sending you back to when Ryan and Jake found you. You won’t be down there for too long."

"Why then? Why not the hospital?"

"Because you’ll see how much you love Ryan first, then when you fight, you know you have to save him."

Vicky suddenly realized a fact she had kept denying for the past four years. While she had been in the hospital insisting she was right and Ryan was wrong, he had been out dying for Rachel and Kirk. With tears streaming down her face she looked up and saw what seemed to be a black aura come over her.

"NO!NO!!!"

"Vicky. Vicky, it’s okay."
