Whole cell clamp studies of cardiac cells derived from mouse and human embryonic stem cells. Successful candidate will use also use cell culture and protein and gene assays to characterize cells at different stages of differentiation. Experience in single cell electrophysiology preferred.
Undergraduate Computer Manager, Spring 2009

We use a variety of PC and Mac computers for data acquisition and analysis, and are seeking assistance with maintaining software, performing backup operations and replacing old hardware. Advanced students will assist with compiling, centralizing and writing MATLAB software that is used in the lab.

Undergraduate Assistant in Tissue Engineering, Spring 2009

The cardiac cells may have ion channel expression that is altered by gene delivery, or may be cells that are differentiated and expanded from embryonic stem cells.
