Proposals (500 words max) are invited for papers on the above theme, to be refereed, which will serve as an introduction to the major German thinkers of the 20th Century.
 
The conference will take place at the University of Adelaide, South Australia, from Monday July 19 to Thursday July 22 2004.

It is anticipated that selected papers will be published in a book of the same name.
