Do you remember your first gig?
Yeah, it was one of those pay-to-play shows and we lied about how many tickets we sold so we could get a bigger time slot. Then they cut our time short, so we started a small riot at the show, and there were, like, 15 other bands mad at us, telling us to get off the stage because we invited the audience onstage and it ruined the rest of the show.
What was your worst gig?
Difenantly the first time we played in front of our record label. An hour before the show I lost my voice completely -- I couldn't even talk! John Feldmann, the singer of Goldfinger, had to hide behind the soundbooth and sing along with me, but no one knew. And our guitar tech wasn't really a guitar tech -- he was my roommate -- and he hooked everything up wrong and all the guitars were out of tune. Thank god we were already signed to the label.
What is your current favorite song to play?
Any fast song, like "Fuct Up Kid" or "Cadillac".
What was the best live show you've ever seen?
Britney Spears on my birthday. I had really good seats, like, right on the stage. Her ass up close is so fucking amazing -- but is she ever really singing live? As far as rock shows, I'd have to go with Goldfinger or Rancid.
Who are you looking foward to seeing this summer?
Rancid, Rancid, Rancid!
