One
wonders if this meteorite might have been
once a solid piece of translucent gem. It
has a hexagonal waist and two axiled tips.
Imagine in space there was a gigantic gem
roaming and tumbling along for a long long
time. The beautiful crystal lost its crystal
look when making entery into atmospher on
earth. Fortunately part of its fusion crust
were much hotter during an oriented fleight.
Later the melted spots, front and back, recrystalized
into many, visible, tinny little crystals.
The crystal probably contained some iron in
it. They are responsible for change of color
to become redish due to oxidation taking place
under terrestreal environment.
These two specimen are of similar size but
the one shown here have much larger crystals.
