Cheese and Bacon Potato Wedges – A traditional Istar dish,
based on the famous wizard; Wedgie. These potato wedges are
covered with tons of cheese and bacon then baked to get a nice
melted effect served hot.
Gandalf Chicken Nibbles – Chicken pieces, which are shaped
like Gandalf, are connected to a stick layered in a plate then
covered with spices all the way from Rhun.
Istar Chicken Nuggets – Buttery crumb-coated bites dipped in
a sour cream and mustard sauce.
Sarumaned Chicken – A tangy, buttery appetizer that comes
with a choice of either rye or Elven bread.
Staff Cakes – Small savory cakes shaped like Gandalf’s
Staff.
Tater Fireworks – This is a platter of small finger foods
that have been shaped in the likeness of some of Tater’s
fireworks. Bite inside and see the surprise that waits inside.
Urukhai Fingers – Small sausage and potato fingers shaped
liked the Urukhai that Saruman created.
Belgareth’s Bedeviled Eggs - The yolks of hardboiled eggs
mixed together with tartar sauce, mustard and Tabasco sauce and
a little salt and pepper all spooned onto the hard egg whites
and decorated with a dusting of paprika. Eaten cold but with a
fiery bite.
Camino Platter – A unique platter of chicken, beef and pork
that is shaped like a robe.
Gandalf Bake – Basically like a cottage pie but with some
added ingredients that makes the mind whirl.
Gandalf’s Garden Herb Bread - A tasty basic bread dough
flavored with herbs of choice to suit any dish. Can be flavored
with any herbs available in the garden. Choose from such
delicacies as chive, marjoram and thyme or something more
unusual such as basil, lemongrass and chervil. The skies the
limit with this recipe.
Magic Broth – Superb home-made chicken broth that works
magic on the soul
Merlin’s Mellow Melon Soup - A blend of pureed cantaloupe
and honeydew melon, sweet white wine and cardamom served chilled
with a smattering of mint. A delicious fruity and refreshing
soup.
Morgana’s Mouth of Hot Chili - A hot and spicy beef dish. A
mixture of ground beef, tomatoes, tomato juice, onion and oil
mixed with chili powder, paprika, cumin, garlic and cayenne
pepper. All cooked together until hot and bubbling. Not one
for the faint hearted.
Saruman’s Salmon Surprise - Smoked salmon steaks grilled to
perfection and served with your choice of mayonnaise or cocktail
sauce.
Saruman’s Seafood Stir-Fry - A delicate combination of
assorted seafood and tender young seasonal vegetables stir fried
in a small amount of oil and all delicately flavored with a hint
of ginger and served on a bed of thread noodles. A combination
of tastes and textures depending on vegetables/seafood used.
Spinach Stuffed Steaks – Spinach stuffed steaks with herbs
and spices that can only come from a wizards home.
Steak Dumenelion - Medallions of Filet beef sautéed with
red, green and yellow peppers, onions and juicy mushrooms, all
served in a brown mustard sauce. Serve with a selection of
fresh Isengard Garden vegetables.
Ultchuck Surprise – A book-like dish, when you open up the
book there is always a tasty variety of foods.
Wizarding Dumplings – Tender, home-made dumplings of mashed
potatoe and chicken bits
Desserts
Bunny Ears – Small pies shaped like pink fluffy cat ears.
Cherry Tartlets – Short crust pastry stuffed with cherries
and glazed in vanilla and cinnamon.
Gandalf’s firework chocolate gateau - On a crunchy bottom of
biscuit is a layer of smooth chocolate cream, with not too much
chocolate and just a dash of orquilla. Topped by a chocolate
sponge cake, another layer of milk cream, flavored with a hint
of athelas to give it a certain freshness, with almond chunks,
roughly ground pepper, and little crystals of sherbet covered
with a second layer of chocolate sponge cake. The gateau is
covered in an icing, just enough to hold the sprinkling of
pepper and sherbet in different colors plus a light dusting of
mithril to add sparkle. You never know where you stand with a
wizard, exactly like with this gateau. Under its sweet surface
it hides unexpected experiences and like a wizard this gateau
will surprise the connoisseur with an explosion of sweet, sour,
and hot. A dessert for the more adventurous.
Glazed Lemon Daisy Bread – Sweet and tangy cinnamon bread
Honey hats – Shaped like a wizards hat with a vanilla sponge
outside and then inside is a coating of honey and fruit.
Mithrandir’s Mix in the Pan Carrot Cake - A beautifully
moist cake with the heavenly taste of spices and the hidden
crunch of chopped walnuts all topped with a delectably creamy,
buttery frosting. Sure to please to most discerning of dessert
eaters.
Orthanc Dark Magic Chocolate Truffles - Luscious balls of
dense chocolate, rich with heavy cream and butter rolled in
cocoa powder to velvety perfection.
Palantir Pastries - This luscious dessert looks like a
perfect sphere and when you look at it, you seem to be gazing
into cloudy depths. The taste varies, as it will take on the
flavor of whatever dessert you most desire at the moment. The
handiest dessert ever, because you don’t need to worry about who
will like it and who won’t. Because some of the ingredients are
difficult to obtain, however, it is not very common.
Radagast’s Raspberry Fool - A blend of pureed raspberries
sweetened to taste with sugar with a dash of kirsch added into
the puree then all gently folded in to whipped cream. Serve
chilled. A taste sensation of sweet and sharp with a creamy
decadent texture.
Star Flower Delights – Small cakes that are shaped like
small Star Flower’s. The filling is a thick, double chocolate
paste.
Tower of Heaven – This is an exact replica of the Tower of
Isengard. It is a chocolate cake that is drizzled with white
chocolate and then to top it all of it lies in a bed of hot
fudge sauce.
