The Great TragedyThe New York tragedy of September 11, 2001 has shaken all the peace loving people around the world. It has reminded us all by virtue of the magnitude of its sadness as if President Kennedy was assassinated on Sept11. Now as we are faced with after the myth situation and as President Bush has uttered that "we are at war", the future of the village world does urge upon us all in the spirit of the UN Character to ensure measures that could stop the repetition of such heinous crimes. Still the very scenario has made me recalled those good days when the present US President has won the US elections. President Bush, could start his first full day in office by attending a morning church service. I remember while leading the prayers Rev: Billy Graham had then uttered some remarkable words. Appealing the new President to once again ignite the real soul of America, he had observed that America was faced with a real challenge. He said that the greatest challenge "lies deep within our won hearts that are inflected with greed, hate and lust". I think to resolve the present ugly crisis people like Billy Graham should come forward to help save the world from a possible war. |
