Mary

Mary constructed this website as part of her assignment for a course in web publishing through the University of Southern Queensland.

She graduated from Otago University in 1980, and worked for the Bank of New Zealand for a couple of years before meeting Chris and moving to Wellington, where she got a job in the Economics Directorate of the department of Trade & Industry.

After having children, she was based at home until Anthony started school. She has been involved with Playcentre and served on the Board of Trustees of the local primary school. On returning to the paid workforce, Mary worked in the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand Course Design unit as a Project Co-ordinator until May 2003.

She is currently 'between gigs' and will be studying full-time in the second half of 2004.

 

Chris

Chris worked from home as a computer consultant after leaving Westpac Bank in 1982. You can visit Chris at his homepage. Mary and Chris separated in 2001 but remain on good terms. He is now remarried to Narumon.

 

Bevan

Bevan enjoys skateboarding, snowboarding,surfing, cooking, and partying - among other things. While he was at High School, Bevan's skating was sponsored by a local sports shop, after Bevan and his friends made a skating video of themselves, and took it in to show them.
Bevan worked for several years in the kitchen of a local restaurant, first as kitchen hand, then as a trainee chef. He graduated from Weltec(Wellington Institute of Technology) at the end of 2002 with a London City and Guilds Certificate and Diploma in Cooking and the Culinary Arts. In May 2003, he went down south with 3 other lads from the Hutt to do a Snowboard Instructor & Avalanche Safety course with Otago Polytechnic, based at Cardrona. In 2004 he has moved to Melbourne with his girlfriend Becks, although he plans to spend the winter season back 'home' in Wanaka.

 

Anthony  

Anthony's current ambition is to be a chef, like his big bro'.

He's into Harry Potter (we've read all 5!), Lord of the Rings, pets, playing sports (especially rugby, table tennis, hockey and swimming) and being with his friends.

He's beome very interested lately in wargaming and modelmaking, and is developing an army of Rohan and Gondor soldiers.

The pets:

We have two cats, a dog, and a variety of other pets, depending on how long they survive. Over the past couple of years, Anthony has had a varying number of mice, rats, goldfish, and frogs.

Sweetie...

Sweetie is Anthony's cat. She is a silver tabby. Sweetie is very affectionate, and a keen hunter. She came to us as a kitten when Anthony was 4.

& ...Rusty

Rusty is Bevan's cat. She is 3 years old. Rusty is a tortoiseshell, with white bib and cufs. "Naughty Torty" describes her well. Bevan named her Rusty, because when she was a kitten the orange patches in her black coat made her look as if she was rusting up.

Brasco

Brasco is a lovely, black-and-tan Rottweiler cross. From a sweet little handful (literally) when we first got him on October 2002, he's grown into a solid, knee-high dog - about the size of a full-grown Labrador. He is very anxious to please, and a complete wuss most of the time.
