-This game was a whole lot of fun! The part RPG part Action part Arcade made this game great fun. Having 4 players in an adventure game is the best idea ever. This game is a classic in my book, and so was the original for the NES. Gamplay: A+ -Getting through the levels is hard enough. You have to get keys to get through doors, magic spells to defeat lots of enemies at once, and the special runes to get to the last level to defeat Skorne. You can get upgrades with the more enemies you defeat. There are many types of enemies, and the all start from a hive, which you have to destroy so they dont keep coming and multiply. You get to choose from 4 different types of characters and soon be a legend by finding a secret warp. The runes are well-hidden, behind walls that you have to shoot to open. The openings are pratically the same as the normal wall, so you have to keep a good eye out. The 5 boss fights are near impossible, unless you have a huge supply of potions and weapons. Graphics: A -Very good for its time. The floors and backgrounds are great. The enemies are well animated and the boss fights are awesome. This game looks better than the arcade version. Sound: B- -I can't remember any sound. It's been a long time since I last played, with the GameCube and all. The sound effects are good, I can remeber that. Challenge: A- -The levels aren't horribly hard to figure out, but will keep you thinking for awhile. The boss fights though are near impossible as I said. Replay: B+ -It's o.k., you can keep upgrading your character for awhile. The mulitplayer part will be fun at parties. Overall: A Grade: 91% "The classic NES game turned into a classic N64 game." |
