-Taken over 4 years to create, Star Fox Adventures has gone through many changes. Originally named "Dinosaur Planet", Rareware and Nintendo met and decided to put Star Fox in it. A kindof weird move in my opinion. Star Fox Adventures overall is a great game. Graphics: A+ Tremendous graphics. It's so amazing how Rareware does these brilliant graphics. Every last weed is detailed and realistically moving. The water effects are almost as good as Super Mario Sunshine. You just feel like you want to take a vacation here. Fox looks magnificent, with fur effects and everything. Gameplay: B+ The first 5 hours are extremely boring. Just wait until you get past all that. The controls are done well, with you using C stick to get out items. The story is done very well, and the ending is tremendous. Some of the gameplay elements involved are great. Tricky, your "pet", can be ordered to do commands such as dig, stay, and find. Fighting is rather repetitive in the game, though. Just press A as fast as you can. But some of the other things in the game are brilliant. The puzzles are very challenging, each with their own twist. To get some Krazoa spirits in the game, you must past a test. The Test of Fear is really great, with you having to keep a meter in a green area. The whole thing is a long movie, while the meter will jerk as something scary happens. Moving on, the flying levels are short and sweet. There is only 1 objective, to fly though x amount of rings. Rareware did a good job. Sound: A Doesn't Rareware always do a good sound job? The tunes are great, and the same with the sound effects. Replay: B This journey will take 15-20 hours to complete, not including bonus stuff, which includes cheat wells and other unlockables. Overall: A- Grade: 92% "Rareware's last GameCube title is a good one." |
