-The Sims is a hugely popular series on PC. But not just PC anymore, because the Sims is now on all consoles! But does it lose some of it's PC qualities in the transition? Yes and no. The Sims can occasionally get boring, since there isn't too much variety. But that's not to say the Sims is a bad game. Gameplay: B The Sims gives you two options of how to play: Get a Life mode, and Play the Sims mode. You have to play Get A Life mode to get Play the Sims mode and all the unlockable furniture. (Or use a password...) Get a Life mode consists of many levels that has objectives in each, such as get a job or pay off debt by borrowing money. Makng relationships need to be improved, because it so hard to make people friends on the game. And over time, their relationship drastically decreases if you don't talk to them. Moving on, you can also create a family and build a house in Play the Sims mode. 2-player is also available (probably the only advantage over the PC version) in Play the Sims mode. You can change people by pressing the Z button, to assign tasks for them to do. But most of the time they won't do your tasks, perhaps because they're too depressed or tired. It sometimes can get really annoying to make a person go to the bathroom or clean up their mess in the kitchen. But overall, gameplay is the Sims is above average. Graphics: C+ There are a few good textures, and everything else looks really smooth, but bland. The framerate stays up, even though there's no reason for it to drop. The Sims graphics is PC style. Sound: D+ There is no music at all except when you build or buy furniture. Even then, it's the same music. The voice acting is mostly blah blahs, but even then it's OK. Challenge: B- There are some challenges here, but most are really annoying. Replay: A The Sim's best category. Tons of reaply here with buidling houses and keeping up families. Overall: 87% "An pretty average open-ended game, but Animal Crossing just does it better than the Sims." |
