Player Profile - Damon Jones
Under the same HC Sid, he may get some minutes, but if HC changes... Enjoy the Elvis City, DJ. We miss your 3P smile.
My past comments about DJ:
Damon Jones, the mood maker of the Grizz and the best cheer leader of the Grizz. I didn't know much about him until he came to the Grizz, but I did watch him once when he was with Dallas vs. Grizz. I didn't have much impression about this player then. So, I thought he was one of these bench PG who is just safe to play while the starting PG is resting.
And he is beyond my expectation and I have to apologize to him for this.
He is not afraid of bringing the ball to the net if he can.
He will make the 3P attempt and not afraid to do so.
He is the first one to get up from the bench and cheer up the players when everyone is walking back to the bench with their heads down.
He is always trying to fire up the starting players at the beginning of each game.
He is always friendly and nice to all the fans no matter when.
He is the one screaming before the introduction of the starting players.
I know lots of people who became DJ fans when he came to Vancouver. However, when he signed with the Grizz some Japanese fans wrote to me saying they
think DJ can offer more than what his stats are showing. Now I know.
I hope he succeed and is proving something here at Vancouver and to the NBA.
