This is our 2003 Pontiac Grand Am and it's our newest edition! We actually just picked it up on
December the 20th, 2006. Yes, that's my birthday and I couldn't ask for a better present. It has had it's first
oil change now and I'm hoping to keep up with the preventative maintenance. It's almost time for it's second oil
change now.
History has a way of repeating itself... In this case I used to own a Grand Am years ago although that one was a 1999. It definitely reminds me of that car in that it corners the same and has very similar pickup. Ours has the 2.2L four cylinder engine but there is an optional V6 available. I must point out that getting the V6 will only benefit the performance from a dead stop. It would have a hard time pulling away from the same model car with a four cylinder if they're already going 100 km/h due to the gearing.
One thing I recommend is to get your vehicles undercoated every year. This can only help make them last longer.
Our 1996 Chrysler Neon was donated to the Teen Challenge Farm. Hopefully they can make some money off it or at least use it for training. I've put a link on the links page for the Teen Challenge Farm if you're interested in what they do (or if you want to get rid of a vehicle).
I'm hoping to drive this car for a number of years. It's a large leap forward from our
1996 Chrysler Neon and it's nice to have a car again where everything works. I would definitely recommend
this type of car for anyone who wants a mid-size car with a lot of power.
