Olson.
Jacksonville to become  CHA
franchise
. The League and new ownership have  come to an agreement to
bring hockey back to the city of
Jacksonville Fl.
The new team will begin play next
season as the first expansion team of the
NAHL."We think this will be a great
addition to the league and we also feel
the city of Jacksonville deserve a second
chance. The ECHL moved out and left the
city with no hockey. The old Sunshine Hockey League and then the Southern hockey
League both folded on us and i know we can bring a good fan base to the league ,so we are looking forward to having hockey back in Northeast Florida.
Indianapolis franchise moved to Detroit
The Indianapolis Speed have been sold and moved to Detroit Michigan. I hated to move a team before the seaon or league even started but with out a stadium you cant have a game. with to many problems in Indianapolis we felt it had to be done this way. the New owner Michael Olson felt it would be a better fit to be home in Detroit

Tokyo Typoon
owner shows interest in new league

ChrisHileman owner of the Tokyo Typhoon MSHL hockey team has shown interest in the new league and is expected to buy into the league. Long time freind of League owner and president Michael S. Olson , Chris has come to know the hockey Buisness very well and would be an excellent addition to the league in any form.
NAHL is set with seven teams so far, to start the season.

I feel we have a good base to start our league. We can build from this, Its easier to build up if we have to instead of foldoing franchises because we started tro big. I dont want to be like the Old WHA,WFL,USFL,SHL I want to start small if we need to then we can expand. the only expansion we have planned is for two teams next season. Thats just because we were gonna start with 10 teams but we needed the extra time to get them started correctly.
The Detroit Speed have sign on to run the Motor City Mustangs as there minor league System team. to supply the Speed with players and as the training team for the next five season. The Mustangs will be the Primary farm team for the Speed. "I feel this is the best thing for both  teams It will reduce the cost of travel for the teams when players are called up. all they have to do is drive across town. and they are up in the bigs or down in the minors. we are following suit of the Philly organizations . The Flyers and Phantom are across the lot of each other. what better way to keep track of your players and cost . I cant think of a better way to go" said Owner of both team Michael S. Olson.
