It has been a very relaxing couple of weeks in Australia. We flew into Brisbane on Jan. 4th early in the morning where we were met by Garth at the airport. After a brief breakfast stop we headed south along the coast to "Yandilla", Garth and Kris Massy-Green's beautiful home in the Balina Lismore area. The next ten days we spent exploring this area of the coast and mountains and enjoying the marvelous company of our gracious hosts. The area around Balina is largely rural with alot of farming and open spaces. There are miles of warm water white sand beaches that makes one wonder why so many Ausies go to Bali to hang out on the beach. The hippest beach scene is defenetly in Byron Bay where we were both reminded of our days in San Diego. The mountains to the west are speckled with remnants of rain forest that made for some really nice hiking. The flora and fauna were varied and abundant. I must admit that I did not expect Australia to be this nice. Our last three days we spent in Sydney staying with our friend Abby. Sydney is a great city with a stunning harbor and lots of natural beauty. Our next update will come from the US. Look for new pics then!
Michele did in fact grab a python by the tail no matter what she says.
