And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy.  -Genesis 2:3

But when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out to the council, "Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called into question!" (Acts 23:6 KJ21)

circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; according to the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; as to the righteousness before the law, blameless. (Philippians 3:5-6 KJ21)

They knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee. (Acts 26:5 KJ21)

But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day and sat down. (Acts 13:14 KJ21)

And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of God. (Acts 13:44 KJ21)

And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (Acts 18:4 KJ21)

And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the Word of God among them. (Acts 18:11 KJ21)

Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said: "Men of Israel and ye that fear God, give hearing! (Acts 13:16 KJ21)

And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of God. (Acts 13:44 KJ21)

And it came to pass in Iconium that together they both went into the synagogue of the Jews, and so spoke that a great multitude of both the Jews and also of the Greeks believed. (Acts 14:1 KJ21)

And on the Sabbath, we went out of the city by a riverside where prayer was wont to be made; and we sat down and spoke unto the women who resorted thither. And a certain woman named Lydia, a seller of purple, of the city of Thyatira, who worshiped God, heard us; and the Lord opened her heart to give heed unto the things which were spoken by Paul. (Acts 16:13-14 KJ21)

The same followed Paul and us, crying out and saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who show unto us the way of salvation." (Acts 16:17 KJ21)

And after he had seen the vision, immediately we endeavored to go into Macedonia, assuredly concluding that the Lord had called us to preach the Gospel unto them. (Acts 16:10 KJ21)

and from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of that part of Macedonia, and a colony. And we stayed in that city a number of days. (Acts 16:12 KJ21)

The same followed Paul and us, crying out and saying, "These men are the servants of the Most High God, who show unto us the way of salvation." (Acts 16:17 KJ21)

And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (Acts 18:4 KJ21)

while Paul answered for himself: "Neither against the law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor yet against Caesar have I offended any thing at all." (Acts 25:8 KJ21)

"My manner of life from my youth, which was from the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, is known to all the Jews. They knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee. (Acts 26:4-5 KJ21)

And it came to pass that after three days Paul called the chief Jews together; and when they had come together, he said unto them, "Men and brethren, though I have committed nothing against the people or customs of our fathers, yet was I delivered prisoner from Jerusalem into the hands of the Romans, (Acts 28:17 KJ21)

concerning zeal, persecuting the church; as to the righteousness before the law, blameless. (Philippians 3:6 KJ21)

And certain men who came down from Judea were teaching the brethren and saying, "Unless ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved." When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas and certain others of them should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question. And being sent on their way by the church, they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles; and causing great joy unto all the brethren. And when they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the church and by the apostles and elders, and they declared all things that God had done with them. But there rose up certain of the sect of the Pharisees who believed, saying that it was needful to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the Law of Moses. And the apostles and the elders came together to consider this matter. And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up and said unto them, "Men and brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the Word of the Gospel and believe. And God, who knoweth the hearts, bore them witness, giving them the Holy Spirit even as He did unto us, and put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. Now therefore why tempt ye God to put a yoke upon the necks of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they." Then all the multitude kept silence, and gave audience to Barnabas and Paul as they declared what miracles and wonders God had wrought among the Gentiles by them. And after they had held their peace, James answered, saying, "Men and brethren, hearken unto me. Simon hath declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out from them a people for His name. And to this agree the words of the Prophets, as it is written: `After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down. And I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up, that the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles upon whom My name is called, saith the Lord who doeth all these things.' Known unto God are all His works from the beginning of the world. Therefore my judgment is that we trouble not those from among the Gentiles who are turned to God, but that we write unto them that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. For Moses from olden times hath in every city those who preach him, he being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day." Then it pleased the apostles and elders, together with the whole church, to send men chosen from their own company to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely Judas surnamed Barsabbas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren. And they wrote letters to accompany them in this manner: "The apostles and elders and brethren send greetings unto the brethren who are of the Gentiles in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia: Inasmuch as we have heard that certain ones who went out from us have troubled you with words, subverting your souls, saying, `Ye must be circumcised and keep the law' --to whom we gave no such commandment-- it seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, men who have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who shall also tell you the same things by mouth. For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication. If ye keep yourselves from these things, ye shall do well. Fare ye well!" So when they were sent off, they went to Antioch. And when they had gathered the multitude together, they delivered the epistle; and when they had read it, they rejoiced in its consolation. And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and strengthened them. And after they had tarried there a space, they were let go in peace by the brethren to return unto the apostles. Notwithstanding, it pleased Silas to remain there still. Paul and Barnabas continued in Antioch, teaching and preaching the Word of the Lord, with many others also. (Acts 15:1-35 KJ21)

And after the uproar had ceased, Paul called unto him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed to go into Macedonia. (Acts 20:1 KJ21)

One man esteemeth one day above another; another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth one day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not that day, to the Lord doth he not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not and giveth God thanks. (Romans 14:5-6 KJ21)

Ye observe days and months and times and years. I am afraid for you, lest I have bestowed upon you labor in vain. (Galatians 4:10-11 KJ21)

But now in Christ Jesus, ye who once were far off have been brought nigh by the blood of Christ. For He is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that He might make in Himself one new man out of the two, so making peace, and that He might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby. (Ephesians 2:13-16 KJ21)

And you, being dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath He quickened together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us. He took it out of the way, nailing it to His cross; and having despoiled principalities and powers, He made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in regard to meat or drink, or in respect to a holy day or the new moon or the sabbath days, which are a shadow of things to come, but the body is of Christ. (Colossians 2:13-17 KJ21)

And when the Jews had gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. And the next Sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the Word of God. (Acts 13:42-44 KJ21)

Upon the first day of the week, let every one of you lay aside in store as God hath prospered him, so that there need be no gatherings when I come. (1 Corinthians 16:2 KJ21)
