From the put-in, swift water and a short paddle through easy boulder bed rapids leads you to the first drop. A river-wide ledge, boney left and center, but an easy boof off the right corner.
|
A short paddle then leads to a series of short, easy ledges, then a rocky island. The left side is wider, and may be scrapey and uninviting. The right is a narrower flume through a couple waves and holes.
|
Another short paddle leads to another
larger drop. To the left is an easy slide into the pool, while a high abutment of rock in the center diverts the flow into a cauldron on the right. Either side may be run, depending on interest and water levels (and obstacles which may be present in the pool below).

More "easier" paddling leads to the next large drop. The river is first choked down through a narrow slot, to a short, boiling, hanging pool. Next it drops to the right, down a steep face into a good hole and boil in another larger pool. Finally, it drops down a very irregular rock face (best line to the right) to the final landing.
A bit more easy (class II) paddling leads to another large drop, runnable through waves and pillows of left shore rock, or a sneak down the right wrapping in below some of the worst of the wave/holes. A short respite leads to the lower part which is a boney, sliding drop. Action subsides to a hard right hand bend in a grotto. Take out just around the bend for an easy carry back up to your car.

At this point in the river, you will be within sight of the pool above Eagle River Falls. You will probably want to drive by to take a look at this after you have safely stowed your boats on/in your vehicle and changed. This way, after you analyze the theoretical lines, you have a convenient excuse for why you're not running it.
