From the put-in there is swift current as you float through a city park. After about 1.5 miles, you will come to a park (near Indiana Ave), where river access may be gained on river left. In this park, you will pass under 4 footbridges in about 1-1.5 miles of river, coming to another possible access point on river right at CTH G, where there is a good parking lot on River Road (2.5 mile mark). Below this park the river flattens and widens to have few, if any, rapids the rest of the way to the suggested take out. |
