This is the site of some manmade river rearranging. Several diversion piles of rock 'direct' the river to the right of a first island. Following this island is a larger island that may be run to either side.

The right side is the most straightforward choice, and is a fairly continuous ride through waves and holes with no really serious obstructions or maneuvers needed (class I-II). A few of the waves may provide surfing opportunities, though they will generally be tough to re-gain once blown off of them.

The left side starts with a much lesser shoals leading to a small wave-train at a mid-stream rock. Good eddy turns, peelouts, and squirt moves are possible here. Downstream, a small, rocky island marks a set of ledges. Numerous routes are possible here (on each side of the small island), depending on water level and boater skill. At moderate to high flows, these may require some power and/or finesse to maneuver through the waves and holes that form. There may be some surfing and ender potential here, though be aware that the 'pool' below the drop is chock full of shallow rocks, making this a tough spot for anything 'vertical', and a bad place for flips or swims..
