ConclusionIn conclusion, it can be said that the implementation of change is a complex operation that requires a conscious, deliberate and collaborative approach, which Lewins approach embodies. All midwives have the potential to be change agents, but will approach change differently depending on their skills, preferences and roles. Change is an inevitable feature of life, particularly in the National Health Service, and whether these changes are for better or worse, change is always stressful. Implementing change with the help, consent and co-operation of a workforce
has to be the only way forward if the health of that workforce is to be
protected, and the change itself sustained. |
