Oct 6-- I've spent a bunch of time totally redoing this whole weblog thing. I've organized it
into what I figure is a more sensible system. Life around the house is about the same, with
the exception of a feral cat that has been coming around. I had thought about catching the
cat, and then taking it into the SPCA, but later, after discussion with Jason, decided to just
poison it, as feral cats do so much damage to native wildlife in Australia. Jason told me
what household medication would easily kill cats and dogs, and I set about poisoning the cat
only to have it rain really hard and wash away my bait. Now I haven't seen the cat in a week
or so, so I'm hoping I won't have to poison it at all. Maybe someone else shot it. Sam and I
are off to Gus and Anna's place sometime this week, followed by a trip down to Canberra, and
perhaps over to Sydney to meet some people from MightyBigTV that I talk to now and then. Perhaps
I'll make friends... I don't remember what that's like, having friends.
