  • Fuck...another bloody tribute album?
    Yes, another fucking tribute album. Why? A number of reasons. First of all, when I / Destr0y Records first suggested that some "needs to do a REAL tribute to Darkthrone", it became pretty clear I wasn't the only one disappointed with the tribute album Moonfog put out a few years ago. Add to this the fact that the original tribute was going to be a single data CD, with a "few cover songs", in mp3.

  • Which bands are on this tribute?
    Lycanthropy, Conquest, Dark Dominion, Megiddo, Thor, Mutorkseht, Rampage, Gort, Atroxaeon, Ibex Throne, The Syre, Demon Realm, Narog & Myrddraal.

  • What is the deal with the 2nd disc?
    The second disc is actually what the tribute was originally all about. It is a an ISO-9660 data CD, full of Darkthrone related material, culled from the web, and similarly minded Darkthrone freaks worldwide : Interviews; reviews; MP3's of their demos, rehearsals and live gigs; a complete discography; lyrics section (including translations and best guesses for "Goat Lord" among others); a very cool musical dissection of the musical monstrosity that is "A Blaze In The Northern Sky" (courtesy of Lord Vic from RAMPAGE), a shitload of tablature, and much more. The focus of the tribute changed, as we saw the superb quality of the cover versions that were being submitted...and so, it was decided the tribute should consist of two discs.

  • Why didn't you get it professionally pressed?!?! CD-R sucks!
    Hey, go fuck yourself. This tribute was always supposed to be a "done by fans, for fans" release. Besides, having a girlfriend, I can never afford to save up enough cash to do things like paying for 500 copies of a 2CD set which might only sell 100 copies.

  • Hey, disc-1 won't play on my CD player!
    Well, bollox to your CD player then. Not all CD players will play CD-R's, but almost any decent player made within the last 5 years will. (Mine is 7 years old, and plays them fine.) Destr0y Records makes no claims on compatability with any particular CD player. However, if a disc is genuinely damaged, or will not even play in your computer's CD player, contact Destr0y Records.

  • Is it available on LP or MC/cassette?
    Not on LP, no. However, Destr0y Records have agreed on a licensing deal with Mexican label Black Opera Records, for a tape pressing of this release (obviously only featuring the material on CD-1 - the music CD). More information will be published on this page when the tapes are available.

  • What other releases have Destr0y Records put out?
    None. This is our first release. The debut Mutorkseht album will be released one day, I swear.

  • Wholesale prices?
    Negotiable, but here is guide : 2-9 units = us$7 worldwide; 10-20 units = us$6 worldwide; 20+ units = us$5 worldwide. Postage is the real killer here. Destr0y Records are based in Australia, and are at the mercy of the judeo-xtian postal regime. Accordingly, bulk orders are shipped withOUT the plastic/jewelcases (2CD), unless an alternate arrangement is made.

  • Trades?
    If you're a band/label/distro, and would rather trade product instead of cash, then propose a goddamn trade!

  • What forms of payment are acceptable?
    If you live in Australia, then Australian dollars, of course. If you live anywhere outside of Australia, payment in us$ cash is the way to go. Please do NOT send cheques. They will be returned via surface mail, and will probably take months to get back to you. I'm not a ripoff, but I'm not going to fork out $25 just to cash your foreign $10 cheques, either. If sending a money order (IMO, western express, etc), PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFOREHAND, so I can confirm that I'm able to do something useful with it (like cash the damn thing).

  • Do you accept credit cards?!?! (updated)
    No. We used to be able to, via PayPal. Unfortunately, PayPal have changed their policies, which would now require me to have a US bank account to cash your payments. Kind of hard when you're based in Australia.

  • The interviews index page doesn't work under Netscape... (new)
    My fault. Some of the interviews are contained in files with the hash "#" symbol embedded in the filename. It works ok for me, but I neglected to test it in Netscape, due to time constraints. Thats my excuse for slackness, anyway. You can read those interviews by browsing the CD file system - in the /perspectives/interviews/ directory. (Kudos to Lord Vic for picking up on this one).

  • Why didn't you include the "Land Of Frost" demo in mp3? (new)
    We were going to, but the only copies we had were old dubs, and sounded like utter shit when compressed using the mp3 codec.

  • Will the data CD run on my [insert-operating-system-here] box? (new)
    Yes. Aside from the abovementioned filenaming convention fuckup, and the "shelexec.exe" win32 executable used to facilitate the AutoRun feature in WinXX, there are no other OS-dependant features on this CD.

  • Can I steal [insert-anything-here] from the dataCD and use it on my website? (new)
    Yes, provided you credit the original author of said item. Destr0y Records makes no claims on copyright to the majority (if not all, except the html code - big deal) of the material on the dataCD
