The All For All
Walking in a familiar town,
Snow feels ready in the air.
Failure feels ready in my heart,
Wondering what I’m doing there.
Fall back to painful comforts.
Dreams by side are fading quick,
And they laugh at me.
Visions start to make me sick.
Welcome to the all-for-all,
We have a spot saved for you here.
Don’t blame us if you start to fall,
The only thing we have are your fears.
Streetlight fires are warming nothing,
And the fact starts to bite more real.
Saying things I’ve kept myself,
Words make it more to feel.
I stumble back into old addiction,
Jokes made are making me twitch.
So I run back to my dealer,
And he gives me more to scratch my itch.
Welcome to the all-for-all,
We have a spot saved for you here.
Don’t blame us if you start to fall,
The only thing we have are your fears.
Caring never hurt so much,
Even though bleeding never did.
Condescending like a pat on the head,
And a keep your chin up, kid.
Don’t even bother making a scene,
Pity won’t win your fight.
Just hold on a little bit longer,
At least tomorrow won’t be tonight.
Welcome to reality,
There’s a cover charge at the door.
You’re paying for brutality,
But you’re getting so much more.
