Battle at the Black Gates
Finding hopes in an aftermath
Collect pieces of a dream
Muster your strength to the eastern walls
The world will hear our scream
And cast aside your broken crutch
The name you scorned for years
Arise to the throne of the blood you’ve owed
Loud for the Dead to hear
And here in the valley in front of the gates
The gates built by weaker hands
Turned to the evil that they set before
The promise of safer lands
But the roads to ruin on either side
Take the one away from home
For we find refuge in the lion’s den
And towards darkness would we roam
The gold is heavy on my mind
And its fire to my heart
The villain within stronger than my guide
But even he must play his part
And here in the valley in front of the dead
The dead mastered by the greed
It’s the greed of man we conquer today
With a deadly selfless deed
Ride in shadow to your king
Hold sword against your foe
Your blade goes deeper than time could tell
Enemies be filled with woe
And the lord of the tower is gone with rage
A fire in his eyes
Disobey if you dare so the valiant stands
So a prince may yet arise
And here in the fields oh the fields of the farms
May the people hold the gate
Tales of old arise again
Memories to fight off hate
And here in the tower of the White City standing
The sun rises with the dawn
And the Citadel like a glimmering pearl
Smiling as the darkness gone
