I Don't Know

I would make the world a better place, in a way that I don’t know.
And if I see you face-to-face, you'd know I'd make it grow.
I could, make good, on the words I left for tomorrow, I don’t know.

Given half the chance I’d make it shine, in a way I’ve yet to see.
All we need is hope and time, so let me be.
Don’t press, talk less, somehow we'll find what's best, I don't know.

Wake me up to mystery, we'll throw it to the wind,
Let’s be ones making history, I’m glad to let you in.
And here is where we will walk the tightrope, when I say that I don’t know,
I don’t know.

I would make the world a scary place, there’s so much I can’t see.
And since that is the case, where do forests meet the trees?
I can’t, re-plant, the world I just let die, I don’t know.

I would hold the knife with shaking hands, you could tell that I’d be scared.
And if no one understands, I don’t care.
Let’s wait, let’s hope, we will see what there will be, I don’t know.

Wake me up to mystery, we'll throw it to the wind,
Let’s be ones making history, I’m glad to let you in.
And here is where we will walk the tightrope, when I say that I don’t know,
I don’t know.

I would leave this world a hopeless case, it’s a question without reply.
But could I forget your face, when I was left to die.
I don’t, you won’t, see this as it could be, we’ll never know.
