I feel such a strong connection to Brooklyn. I have a big book on Brooklyn with over 125 stories about anything. I'm in a neighborhood where I barely know people living within a stone's throw. I read stories about community, friends, everything in a time way back when. What I would give to grow up in the Irish Brooklyn that is Bay Ridge. I'm tempted to say Brooklyn Italian, because that's a whole other deal, but I'm hooked.
The Tuatha de Danaan are the Fairy Folk, Gods of Dana. It's Ireland's mythology story.
I have a huge fascination with mythologies and connections. There's a passage in Lord of the Rings that sums it up nicely.
Two Towers, page 379 (At least in my edition).
Sam: Don't the great tales never end?
Frodo: No, and they never end as tales. But the people in them come, and go when their part's ended.
