Northern Lights
Here we go again, at the bottom one more time,
There’s no reason, never been a rhyme.
I’ll play along, if only for a bit,
Hell this is life, not like I can quit.
I’ve killed myself, I’ve been the killer,
Just to pass the time of this daily filler.
Myself and I, we will always fight,
But we make peace under northern lights,
Northern Lights.
Ignite my sky,
Take me up, and let me fly.
You’ve never held on, and I always go down,
But I’d fall forever just to hear your sound.
I’ve broken down myself, I’ve been broken down,
I’ve left him for dead when it was me on the ground.
I’ll never choose which side of me is right,
I’ll leave that choice in the northern lights,
Northern Lights.
Together like a dream,
Made from your life in ways they’d never seem.
Like a former lover, distant over time,
Cursing that name, but always call her mine.
I spoke the words, they were spoken at me,
I guess it’s only right to set myself free.
Who’s to know which side of me is right?
Until next time, I’ll watch the northern lights,
Northern Lights.
