Mr J Shooter (Director of Music)

John Shooter read music at Cambridge University, where he was an Organ Scholar, and then as a postgraduate at Manchester University and The Royal College of Organists. He has worked as Director of Music in three independent schools and spent eight enjoyable years as a Housemaster

Some highlights of his career include performing as a piano soloist at the Royal Festival Hall, performing at the BBC Proms, and being Musical Director for two West End shows. In 2003, he conducted the choirs and worked with Will Young and Hayley Westernra at the 2003 Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance, broadcast live from the Royal Albert Hall, London in the presence of Her Majesty, The Queen and to an estimated word wide audience of 26 million!
