Minimum Requirements

• A Sony Mavica. For taking pictures.
• A computer. Preferably a Mac or a PC.
• An operating system. Preferably Mac OS 7.6.1 or later, Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT4.0. As for Linux, I use Redhat.
• Lots of memory. Preferably 32Mb, though an infinite amount would be ideal.
• A JDK 1.1 compliant JVM (Java Virtual Machine). Preferably the Apple MRJ 2.0 on Mac, the MicroSoft JVM on Windows, or the Sun JDK on Linux.

I'm not sure if I have a JVM

If you don't know if you need to install a JVM, you should jump to the JVM section of the FAQ page, then come back to download and install Javica.

Downloading Javica

Download Javica.zip for your Windows9X or Windows NT computer. You will need Winzip to open the archive.

Download MacJavica.sit for your Macintosh computer. You will need Stuffit Expander to open the archive.

Download Javica.jar for your Linux computer. You will need tar and gzip to open the archive.

Notes on Downloading

Javica is extremely small. The archives weigh in well below 100Kb. If you're having problems getting the file, email me and I'll attach a copy. Make sure you tell me which OS you are running.
